EASY WALKING

We parked at the train station car park and walked up to the main visitor centre which is free to enter the museum.

You can also collect a map from here.

We had a walk around the museum first which is only small but its nice to see how it all started and how it was in the earlier days.

We then followed the sign posts along the millennium walkway which was fantastic with the autumn colours on the trees, we followed the various trails past the mills and along the river Goyt before returning to the car park.

Plenty of places to stop and have a picnic or throw stones in the river.

The girls really enjoyed this walk
