Excellent first time wainwright, also option to include 2 wainwrights in one day, by adding Ling Fell on, which is opposite Sale fell.

This is an easy Wainwright, a nice family fell with great views, which begins through a gate leading onto the open fell. 

The paths are obvious you can make it a circular walk, we turned left at the junction and followed the path to a gate, you can go directly up to Sale fell from this point making it a shorter walk, we decided to go through the gate and follow the path through the open moors, making it a large circular walk and adding on another mile to the summit.

The summit itself doesn't have a trig point or big cairn but you will know the highest point once you arrive. The paths are easy to follow and make a nice walk with views over Bassenthwaite.
