Parking is on a lay by on Kirkstone pass just after Limefit Holiday park.
You will see a gate leading onto the farmers field which takes you down to Ings lane. Once onto Ings lane you follow this to the road and turn right, you will see Troutbeck in front of you, the path is easy to follow all the way.
ON the right before the farm you will see a stile into the field, cross this and head to the base of the hill.
You have 2 options go directly up the nose to the summit, this is steep, boggy in some sections too, if you go up this route and back down its only a 6 mile return walk, we came down this way and instead took the path to the right, into the valley and around the base of the hill.
A path to the left appears after a enjoyable walk through the valley, this takes you on a gentle climb to the summit before walking over the top to a small cairn.
The paths are easy to follow, mixture of roads, stone paths and grass, only a small hill but a fantastic walk.
