ABOUT THE WALK

You park at the roadside by the gate where the path starts, space for a few cars but can get busy during the holidays and weekends.

We went through the gate and turned left to follow the bridleway path,

We headed to Longlands fell first and took the right turning at the base of longlands fell which is trodden grass path, once at the summit you walk a little further and drop down to the left to follow the path towards Little and Great sca fell which are close to each other. The path is easy to follow in clear weather, it was a little boggy in sections but not too bad.

The base of Little Scar fell rises steeply and the summit cairn is in the distance and just behind is Great scar fell and its summit cairn.

From Great Scar fell we took the faint direct path straight across to Brae fell, this was easy walking, and we could of included a couple more wainwrights being Knott, Meal fell and Great Cockup, but the weather was quite cold and windy and Ariya was only just 3, this was her first walk that included 4 summits, so we decided to head back to those another time.

There is a faint path to drop down off Brae fell to the bottom path that we started on to return to the car.
