EASY WALKING
Our first visit was a Sunday, it took approx 2 hours to find a parking space, it was so busy. There is a couple of car parks and various lay-bys in the area and they were all full.
Eventually we got one as others were starting to leave, this probably worked out well as it meant the trail was much quieter.
The paths are well parked with sign posts, there is a circular walk around Dovestones reservoir which is suitable for buggys, we included the walk up to Chew reservoir, this is a great solid path all the way up, just really steep so good training for the hills.
We had no views of the reservoir on our first visit, but since visited again and explored more.
There is actually 3 reservoirs you can walk around which we have done and really enjoyed.
This is a great walk for all ages, you can go at different times and find new paths to explore, or rocks to climb.
Picnic benches around the reservoir
