WAINWRIGHTS UNDER 500M

IF you are new to walking or have smaller children, its often best to start with some of the smaller Wainwrights and build your way up, in saying that some of the smaller ones we have found can be more difficult that the higher fells, its always best to find a route suitable for your family.

ONE OF THE EASIEST IF NOT THE EASIEST WAINWRIGHTS AND ARIYA VERY FIRST ONE SHE WALKED UP AND DOWN HERSELF PARKING FROM THE BOTTOM

Smallest Wainwright at 985ft but fantastic adventure for kids, walk varies from 3-6 miles depending which route you take.
Gentle walk and grassy paths from hodge close quarry, approx 3-6 miles depending on paths taken.
Lovely walk from White moss car park past Rydal water 3 mile walk
2.5 mile walk on a gentle grass path, great first time walk
Fantastic valley walk  through the troutbeck valley 9 miles circular but can do it as short as 6 miles.
One of the easiest walks parking at  Gale road, just a 1.5 mile route, Buggy friendly.
Another great first time walk, just 2.5 miles on great paths to the summit.
Great 3 mile circular walk with views over Derwentwater
1 mile return walk, steep climb up but on a great grassy path, great first hill.
2 wainwrights with adding  Great crag 5  mile walk from Watendlath
Known as Pikeawassa, good grass slopes with a slight scramble.
Steep but short climb to the summit 2 mile return with 950 ft ascent
Various routes to the summit but we will include the quietest and easiest walk from Little Town 3 miles return walk.
