We normally  do this drive after we have visitied the Deer park DG8 7BL you get to see these beautiful creatures up close in a natural environment, take carrots and apples to feed the deer which is allowed by the establishment.

 

We then continue along the road and stop at Clatteringshaws Visitor Centre for a snack and toilet stop before the Raiders road drive, the road  which is £2 ( at the time of writing) to pay at the start of the drive via a coin machine.

We normally stop at Otter Pool car park half way down and enjoy a walk or paddle in the water ( toilets and picnic tables here too)

There is various places to stop along the route and walk so best pick up or print a map beforehand, keep an eye out for birds of prey and otters along the route.
