The starting point is Lumb Carr Road car park, just outside Holcombe village.
Cross the road and take the gated footpath to the cobbled Holcombe Old Road. We turned right and then took the first turning on the left.
Followed a little way up before turning right on the stone/dirt path leading up to Peel Tower.
We took a photo and then headed past the tower and across the moorland with the valley on the right and walked a grass trodden path to Harcles hill, we stopped for a snack break here and then set off along the same path to Pilgrims Cross a single square stone on the moorland below Bull Hill.
We read the carving in the stone here for the monument dating back too AD 1176.
We then Continued straight on up the well- trodden path up to the Trig. Point on Bull Hill, beware if the RED FLAG is flying do not go any further as its a military shooting range.
We took more photos at the trig point on Bulll hill before retracing our steps.
