WHINLATTER FOREST

Whinlatter is home to stunning views, fantastic walks, exhilarating mountain biking, rare wildlife and adventure play.

👩‍🦽I hired a tramper which was amazing and follows a tramper friendy route, the path is suitable for terrain wheelchairs too with some ascent on the paths

🥾 2.5-4.5 mile tramper trails, the main forest paths are all wide and suitable for a terrain wheelchair just various gradients throughout.

Tramper hire is available with Outdoor mobability. Its around £10 for a years membership and then you have access to trampers to hire for free, donations is apprechiated. You can book online and at your first go of the tramper you recieve training which take 10-15 minutes then you get shown the way to start the route. The roue is sign posted throughout.

The paths are great for both the tramper, prams or wheelchairs, the forest id great to explore in all seasons, views if you keepo  looking back will see Grisedale Pike in the distance.

The gruffalo trail is seperate to the tramper trail, but if you take your wheelchair you can see the Gruffalo higher up in the forest. You can purchase trail packs from the shop.
